| TUESDAY NIGHT RACE RULES CHANGES
|
TWO CHANGES TO THE BCYA BLACK BOOK SAILING INSTRUCTIONS FOR 2012!
(These revisions do not yet appear in the posted edition of the Black Book.)
ONE PENALTY TURN:
Black Book Rule 11.2 modified to declare "A boat may take a One-Turn Penalty when she may have broken a rule of Part 2 or rule 31 while racing. However, when she may have broken a rule of Part 2 while in the zone around a mark other than a starting mark, her penalty shall be a Two-Turns Penalty."
VALIDATION OF A PROTEST:
Black Book Rule 11.9: RRS Rule 63.5 is changed to: "At the beginning of the hearing, if there is no objection, the protest or request is valid and the hearing shall be continued. If an objection is made, the protest committee shall take any evidence . . . [no further change]."

| THE BCYA

The Baltimore City Yacht Association (BCYA) exists to organize, sponsor, and promote sailing on the Chesapeake Bay, in and around the Baltimore (Maryland, USA) harbor. The club has approximately 25 yachts and more than 60 dues paying members and is a member of the Chesapeake Bay Yacht Racing Association (CBYRA). We sponsor the Tuesday evening summer racing series in Baltimore Harbor, as well as two of the major CBYRA Saturday race events. New members are always welcome. Click here for membership information.
